In 1990 my Dad purchased our main shop based in Unit 1 Outside Market Maesteg and I started my apprenticeship with him. The family business was trading as CJ Garner and Son Family Butchers until I look over in 1999 and rebranded to Andrews Family Butchers.

A lot has changed over the years with shopping trends, with people more and more getting everything in supermarkets, but that is now changing. More and more people are shopping locally and supporting local business and especially local butchers.

We are no longer thought of as more expensive and are very competitive on price and will not be beaten on quality. At Andrews’s Family Butchers we source as locally as possible. We have a variety of offerings and meat packages to suit all size families. Our meat packs include our super lean protein packs, monthly meat hampers and seasonal Fresh BBQ packs which are always a hit and often sell out. We recently purchased another shop in Kenfig Hill where we deliver the same friendly service, fantastic locally sourced produce and unbeatable meat packages. Our next venture is this website, hoping to offer you an alternative to coming into store without taking away the feel of a real traditional butchers and having convenient contact free delivery right to your door.
