The shop – Unit 1 outside Maesteg Market – has been in my family since 1990 when my dad purchased the business and I started my apprenticeship with him. At that time, we were trading as CJ Garner and Son Family Butchers. I took over in 1999 as Andrew’s family butchers.

Up until very recently, the majority of people bought their produce at supermarkets due to it being more convenient and more competitive in price. But that is now changing: more and more are people shopping locally and supporting local businesses – especially local butchers. We are no longer thought of as more expensive and are very competitive on price and will not be beaten on quality.

At Andrews Family Butchers we source as much locally as possible. Our packs include our super lean protein packs, monthly meat hampers and seasonal Fresh BBQ packs.
